Roots Manuva as 'Master of Ceremonies' Mike Ladd (Infesticons) dose one (cLOUDDEAD) with Neotropic New Flesh full live set Big Dada Sound System featuring Gamma Visual trickery from Nufunk & Lucky Cat

May 31st sees Ninja's Xen Solid Steel night taken over bruv label Big Dada and BIG DADA SOUND. Featuring some of the world's finest, most innovative hip hop talent, it promises to be a sharp poke with a small stick in the side of the fat underbelly of something that needs a sharp poke...

Your host for the evening will be Roots Manuva, gearing up for the release of his second album later in the summer & new material is guaranteed. Hold tight - the crufatin liveth....

New Flesh Live: With the truly stunning, funky, bold and plain danceable single "Communicate" out June 25th , these Big Dada vets are set to prove hip hop is still a living, breathing, developing form. Besides the considerable MCing skills of Toastie Tailor and Juice Aleem, the single features Gift of Gab (Blackalicious). The new material will destroy Cargo & is not to be mist. Big Dada pull out the stops bringin Mike Ladd (Infesticons) over from the USA . Mike enlivened proceedings at the Xen 10th anniversary at the Scala last year when he leapt off a speaker stack in the top room and became probably the first crowd surfer with a net veil in a tiny space. Mayhem follows him wherever he performs. You been warmed. aA last minute addition to the line-up comes in the form of dose one (cLOUDDEAD). Quite simply one of the most technically complete MCs you are likely to witness, dose is also a one-off in terms of subject matter, delivery and stage presence. With DJing skills supplied by Riz Maslen (aka Neotropic), this will be an unmissable performance.

Gamma and crew will run the Sound sections of the evening, original beats played from samplers and sequencers , freeform rap business and general bass-heavy , echoey mayhem.

Not for the weak-hearted, meek-shirted or creek-warted. For everybody else...
